Joe Pug to Perform at Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center on January 24
Renowned singer-songwriter and podcaster Joe Pug is set to bring his “Sketch of a Promised Departure” tour to Sarasota’s Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center on Friday, January 24, at 8 p.m.
Hailing from Greenbelt, Maryland, Joe Pug (born Joseph Pugliese) has garnered acclaim for his insightful lyrics, distinctive gravelly voice, and evocative harmonica playing. Since his debut EP, Nation of Heat, Pug has released several albums, including Messenger, The Great Despiser, and Windfall. His most recent album, Sketch of a Promised Departure, was announced in March 2024.
In addition to his musical endeavors, Pug hosts the popular podcast “The Working Songwriter,” where he engages in conversations with fellow artists about life in the music industry.
Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center, located at 525 Kumquat Court in Sarasota, is a project of WSLR, a local community radio station. The center serves as a venue for music, art, film, and community events, aiming to engage the community through creative expression and cultural exchange.
