Englewood Event Center- Ramping up the Acts

The Englewood Event Center is heating up as a go-to place to catch some of the hottest shows touring right now.  Whereas, folks living in south county used to have to travel to Sarasota to see some of their lifelong favorite bands on tour, now a venue closer to home is pulling it all together with great live shows, theater, mystery dinners and more.

Englewood, an area known as a quiet retiree’s paradise with affordable beachlines and not terribly touristy, also delivers an artsy downtown and a place to see acts like Eddie Money and Atlantic Rhythm Section.  Who knew?  For starters, the generations of families who have lived in the area will tell you there’s plenty to love about the area.  Wonderful beaches, including lush and largely sparse coastlines like Manasota Key and the energetic Englewood Beach, offer wonderful views, large sandy beaches and plenty of mom and pop restaurants to feed hungry sun worshipers.  An old-fashioned downtown, complete with trendy coffee shops and diners, housed in old brick buildings with character oozing from everywhere, appeal to both hipsters and hip-replacement candidates as the old and young easily mingle in area businesses.  With plenty of local artists filling shops with their handmade wares and adorning buildings and signage with their artistic flair, the vibe around Englewood definitely speaks to the young-at-heart in all.
