Ari, awesome!
The Blue Rooster was overflowing with energy and excitement last night. The effervescent entertainer, Ari McManus and her new band Ari and the Alibis put on quite a performance. From the moment that Ari walked on to the stage you could feel the buzz. Ari is non-stop! Now that I think about it, I can understand while she was performing without shoes last night. She rocks!
A Sarasota native, Ari is an important part of the local music scene. Arielleh, Ari is quite diversified. I was so impressed to know that along with being a marvelous entertainer, she is a hard working mom! Ari has a strong background in the Spanish language and it is certainly incorporated into her show. Last night was a combination of RnB, Blues and Reggae and a multi bilingual show.
Ari’s band, the Alibis are the perfect mix. Drums: Nick Dow, Bass: Gregg Voorheese, Guitar: Nicolaas Kraster, Trombone: James D’bone. Nic as he is known to many has been playing with Ari for a long time. I was so impressed with the Trombone playing of James…he is the finishing touch to the band. Ari loves to talk to the audience, laughs, interacts and just likes to have fun on stage. She certainly puts on a very inspiring performance!
Ari is unique. We chatted in between sets and at the end of the show. I felt like I have known her for years. She’s outgoing, exciting, friendly and just a really nice lady. I was even more impressed with something very cool that Ari did last night. When I woke up this morning, there was an email for me from Ari. She said “thank you for coming to my show and thank you for taking some photos. Now that’s classy.
