2 Great Shows Coming to Fogartyville in Sarasota

Fogartyville welcomes Boston-based fiddler Hanneke Cassel and her band Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m.

Effervescent and engaging, Cassel’s music fuses influences from the Isle of Skye and Cape Breton with Americana grooves and musical innovations.

Her band features Newfoundland-born musician Keith Murphy on guitar/vocals and Jenna Moynihan, regarded as one of the best of the best in the new generation of fiddle players,on 5-string fiddle/vocals.

Together, the Hanneke Cassel Band creates a cutting-edge acoustic sound that retains the integrity and spirit of the Scottish tradition.

Tickets are $20 for members of WSLR+Fogartyville, $24 for not-yet-members and $12 for students (13+).

NASHVILLE’S LIZ LONGLEY PLAYS FOGARTYVILLE APRIL 28

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Liz Longley brings her “It’s Me Again” tour to Fogartyville Sunday, April 28 at 7 p.m.

Named for the musician’s brand-new EP, “It’s Me Again,” she will play acoustic remakes of several of her cornerstone songs.

Longley is known for her stop-you-in-your-tracks voice and deeply emotional music, which has earned accolades from prestigious songwriting competitions and major publications like Billboard, Newsweek and Forbes.

Tickets are $20 for members of WSLR+Fogartyville, $25 for not-yet-members and $12.50 for students (13+).

Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center is located at 525 Kumquat Court. Audiences should enter the performance space from the alleyway.
