Wonderful Outside Events Around the Suncoast – to Light Up the Holidays!
One of the best parts of the holidays is the amazing lights that twinkle and sparkle. Whether you like some light sprinkling of lights on your tree or a full-blown light show set to music, lights make the holiday. While we might not get snow here on the Suncoast, we have some amazing light shows to get us into the holiday spirits. We are just over two weeks before the holiday, so get out and take in one or all of these break-taking events this weekend!
Country Christmas at Hunsader Farms – (5500 CR 675, Bradenton, FL) The holiday display features more than 300,000 lights. There are also hayrides, train rides, Christmas music, visits with Santa, craft vendors, campfires, a Christmas village display, holiday movies, snow tubing and a petting zoo. Dates: December 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 22, and 23 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Gardens A Glow – Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens – (5827 Riverside Drive Punta Gorda, FL 33982) Visitors will embrace the beauty of the outdoors while enjoying the Garden’s sculptures and lights, creating a cherished holiday memory with family and friends. Highlights include thousands of lights and music, along with Christmas carols and pictures with Santa EVERY NIGHT, S’mores roasting over the fire pit and hot chocolate, a Christmas tree raffle, our Christmas gift shop, and fun activities for the entire family.
Holiday Tour of Lights – (Pickup is outside the Regions Bank 4041 Cattlemen Rd, Sarasota, FL 34236) – The Holiday Tour of Lights has become a MUST when you’re in the holiday spirits, so get ready to sit back, relax, sip on your favorite beverage (you provide), and listen to your favorite holiday music, while enjoying what Sarasota’s residents have created.
Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland -Tampa 2022 – (Masonic Park & Youth Camp 18050 U.S. 301 Wimauma, FL 33598) Welcome to the home of Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland in Tampa! Prepare to be dazzled by a Christmas light spectacle the likes of which you’ve never seen! A visit to one of the shows is all you need to truly let go of everyday stresses and let your spirit fly as your senses are tickled with hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights dancing harmoniously with some fantastic Christmas tunes. Simply drive up, tune in to your car’s radio, and let the Christmas spirit take you away!
Tampa Bay’s Festival of Lights and Santa’s Village – (215 Sydney Washer Road Dover, FL 33527) Join us for an EXPANDED holiday light spectacular that will envelop you and your family in an enchanting environment blanketed in more than a million lights from the entrance to exit. Young and young at heart will enjoy the nearly 2 MILE drive-thru immersive experience of continuous light features followed by a festive walking visit to Santa’s Village, full of attractions, holiday goodies, and visits with SANTA!
The Holiday Atlas – (Online Directory) A great, privately curated list of homes and locations you need to stop out and see holiday lights at this year. This is a great directory run by Nick, Aubrey, Colton, and Casey, which includes a google map plug in to help map out your Christmas light-watching route this year.
