It’s our right of spring to attend Spring Training Baseball here in Florida. It’s just amazing how fast it goes by. We are truly lucky to have several teams right in our own backyard.
Congratulations to the Pittsburg Pirates and Baltimore Orioles for great attendance levels this year. The Orioles have drawn a total of 119,742 fans for 17 home games in Sarasota, the second-highest spring attendance in club history behind only the 120,455 total set in 2013.
For the Pittsburg Pirates, it is a new record! The Pittsburgh Pirates established a new spring training single-season attendance record in 2017! The team drew 106,291 fans to their 17 Spring Training home games at LECOM Park, pushing passed the previous set record of 106,038 in 2015!
As the teams head north to start the regular season, every team has a chance to go to the World Series. No one has won or lost a game yet. My team? The New York Mets….. they are going all the way this year!
