Fab Lab Summer Camps Unique Options

“My son loved that the teachers were ‘kids’ also and felt a true connection with the counselors,” shared one 2020 summer camp parent. “It was the camp my son had the most fun at, and he was sad counting down the days until it was over.”

Unique to the Fab Lab, summer camps are developed and led by high school students participating in the organization’s education leadership program. From camp curriculum development to project prototyping to camp instruction, all aspects are managed by student instructors with support and oversight by Fab Lab staff and education specialists. The Suncoast Science Center/Faulhaber Fab Lab believes strongly in the power of the peer learning model as a tool to enhance interest and understanding of educational material and build meaningful connections between campers and instructors.
