Representatives from Hooters of Naples and several Hooters Girls calendar girls presented a donation of $14,533 plus books and stuffed animals to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County.  The restaurant has an annual holiday tradition of collecting donations of books and bears to help the center. Over the past seven years, Naples Hooters has donated over $74,500 to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County.

Hooters of Naples General Manager Steve Caruso and several Hooters Girls presented the donations to Children’s Advocacy Center representatives on December 15 during the Hooters Calendar Tour. Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County exists to improve the lives of abused children.

“We work with the most seriously abused children in our community. These children come to the Children’s Advocacy Center, through no fault of their own, for help, intervention, and support. These children have been traumatized and their lives are in upheaval. When children come to the CAC for evaluation and treatment, it is the first step in healing. The stuffed animals and books help provide a sense of safety and comfort. Additionally, the financial donation from Hooters helps us provide the necessary services to stop the abuse and help children heal and live to their full potential. We greatly appreciate the generosity from Hooters, the patrons, and everything you have done to support the mission of the CAC to improve the lives of abused children in our community,” said Jacqueline Griffith Stephens of Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County CEO.

“Each year, we receive such a generous response from our regular customers with donations to help the children.  We want to thank our customers, especially Clay Cox and Kitchens by Clay.  We would not have this much success for our books and bears drive every year without Clay’s support for Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County,” said Naples Hooters General Manager Steve Caruso. This is the seventh year of hosting this fundraiser at the Naples Hooters location.

Naples Hooters is located at 3625 Gateway Lane in Naples.
