Five Youth Leadership Sarasota Students Receive Scholarships from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County
The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that five exceptional students from the Youth Leadership Sarasota program have been awarded scholarships to participate in the chamber’s Youth Leadership program thanks to support from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. The Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s sponsorship invests in youth development opportunities through providing funding for community-minded students to participate in the Youth Leadership program.
The recipients of the $175.00 scholarships are:
- Kezia Alvin, State College of Florida Collegiate School
- Alvin Luu, Florida Virtual School
- William Pope, Bradenton Christian School
- Chantal Usubillaga, Pine View
- Christine Wu, Pine View
“We are incredibly grateful to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County for their continued support and investment in our future leaders,” said Pete Bartosik, Leadership Sarasota & YPG Manager at the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce. “The Community Foundation’s investment in this program enables our students to engage in meaningful leadership development activities, preparing them to become the next generation of community leaders.”
The Youth Leadership Sarasota program is designed to nurture and develop the leadership skills of high school students through a series of hands-on, interactive activities and sessions. Participants gain insights into various sectors of the community, develop their leadership potential, and engage in community service projects.
About Youth Leadership Sarasota
Youth Leadership, a program of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, is an exciting and educational experience for rising high school juniors and seniors. Students learn about the diversity and complexities of the community accomplished through participation in a nine-month, structured experiential program that meets once a month during school hours.
