Enchant Christmas Brings the Holiday Spirit to Tropicana Field In St. Petersburg, FL

The Home of the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg is currently home to Christmas this holiday season!

Instead of the usual indoor baseball home field, there are over 2 million lights, Santa and his reindeer and an ice skating rink! Adults and kids alike marveled at the display of everything Christmas upon walking into Enchant Christmas. There is 90,000 square feet of Christmas fun for everyone and, in the middle of it all, there is an 80 foot lighted Christmas tree!

The theme for this year’s Enchant is “The Great Search”, which is a giant maze for all to explore and a challenge for the kids to find all of Santa’s reindeer. For the adults who want to sit back and watch the spectacle there is live music of holiday tunes from the Jazz Daddy-O’s. At Santa’s Landing kids can visit Santa in his giant lighted ornament – of course expect a line to visit and get a photo with Santa Claus. The beautifully lit ice skating rink was packed with first-timers to some extremely experienced skaters, all were fun to watch! You’ve gotta give those newbies credit for getting out there!

We sampled some of the hearty food offerings like pierogis, German macaroni & cheese and yummy chicken & waffles. There is authentic Austrian and German fare along with local food vendors. There are alcoholic drinks that come in a fun light bulb glass that lights up in different combinations. Of course, there is hot chocolate for warming up! The market has some great artisan stores with one-of-a-kind made items. Unique gifts like handmade glass ornaments had many onlookers. There are over 40 vendors to check out for gifts for your loved ones or a present for yourself.
