During Season 4 of American Idol Simon Cowell predicted Carrie would” sell more records  than any previous Idol.” He was right and then some none of us saw coming! Underwood is the queen, sweetheart and darling of country music. Everyone from kids to the elderly packed Amalie Arena in Tampa on Wednesday night to watch Carrie hold court.

Her Storyteller tour brings a revolving stage in the round with all the bells, whistles and pyrotechnics you see at rock shows, a state of the art wonder. It is amazing but never takes away from the star of this show – the music and Carrie. The floor became a pit in the round for the fans and Carrie kept constant contact with the fans, waving and moving up and down, side to side on the stage for everyone to get a chance to see their country darling.

Opening acts were the Swon Brothers, who were on Blake’s team on The Voice and Easton Corbin who she jammed with mid-show on Alabama’s “Mountain Music”. Her band is a “cream of the crop” of musicians moving around the stage along with Carrie.

From a tribute to her hero Dolly Parton, “I Will Always Love You” to her first hit single “Jesus Take the Wheel”, the audience was on their feet singing along to every word. Fashion plays a part of the show with several costume changes from boots to heels, shorts to dresses. Carrie commands the stage like such a pro yet tells the audience about juggling her toddler son on tour with her saying “she can’t quite believe how lucky she is.” This is the secret to Carrie Underwood’s success, she is amazed by it herself which is why her shows are sold out everywhere.
