USRowing Youth National Championships Celebrate 30 Years at Sarasota’s Nathan Benderson Park June 12–15

Sarasota is gearing up to welcome back one of the premier youth sporting events in the country—the USRowing Youth National Championships, returning to Nathan Benderson Park from June 12–15, 2025. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the prestigious event, which will draw nearly 10,000 athletes, coaches, and fans from across the country for four days of high-energy competition.

Supported by Visit Sarasota County, the event shines a national spotlight on the region and its world-class rowing facilities. “We are thrilled to return to Sarasota for the eighth year,” said Sarah McAuliffe, USRowing Director of Competition. “This championship embodies athletic excellence and the passion of our youth rowing community.”

The milestone celebration also coincides with Savor Sarasota’s 20th anniversary, creating a unique opportunity for visitors to experience Sarasota’s vibrant culinary and cultural scene while in town for the races.

New for 2025 is the inaugural Youth Beach Sprint National Championships, taking place on Lido Key Beach. This exciting, fast-paced discipline is making its way toward its Olympic debut in Los Angeles in 2028 and gives spectators a rare chance to see the future of the sport in action.

More than 200 elite youth teams will compete for national titles at Nathan Benderson Park, with races live-streamed on the Overnght Streaming Platform, culminating in a championship awards ceremony on June 15.

The public is encouraged to attend one of Sarasota County’s largest annual sporting events. Athletes qualify through a series of USRowing Regional and sanctioned regattas taking place nationwide throughout May.
