Save the Date! Sarasota Seafood & Music Festival January 18-20, 2019
Come share in the festivities of the 4th Annual Sarasota Seafood & Music Festival on January 18-20, 2019 on Gulf Stream near JD Hamel Park in downtown Sarasota. Bring family and friends to enjoy fresh seafood and outstanding live musical performances. The event begins Friday night January 18 with festivities running 4pm – 10pm. The event continues Saturday from 11am – 10pm and Sunday 11am – 6pm. General admission is FREE! VIP Tent admission is $75 that includes an open bar serving premium drinks, tented seating area with linens on the tables and a dedicated service staff, all with optimal viewing of the live onstage musical performances.
The event, hosted by the Sarasota Downtown Merchants Association with the Humane Society of Sarasota County a special guest, offers a diverse menu of foods cooked fresh on site. Seafood items are prepared using only the freshest local and sustainable ocean resources from the Florida Gulf Coast. Meat and vegetarian offerings are also on the menu, along with a variety of side dishes and of course – tantalizing desserts! Alcoholic, non-alcoholic and fruit drinks are available. During breaks between performances, explore shopping in a marketplace of fine arts, crafts, and select fine products and food items.
While savoring your meal, relax to some of Florida’s top musical groups from genres such as R&B, blues, jazz, rock and Caribbean sounds. Performers on Friday night are: Free Coasters (reggae, soul), Twinkle & Rock Soul Radio (rock, soul) and the US Stones (Rolling Stones Tribute Band). Performers on Saturday are: Kettle of Fish (rock), CeCe Teneal & Soul Kamotion (blues, soul, roots), Reverend Barry & The Funk (funk, soul), The Bob Marley Tribute Band featuring Yvad, former lead singer of the Wailers (reggae) and Endless Summer (Beach Boys Tribute Band). Sunday performers are: Sarasota Steel Pan Band (calypso, reggae, Latin, Brazilian), Big Night Out (Latin funk, Motown, R&B dance music), Billy Rice Band (country rock), and the Caribbean Chillers (Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band).
During the event, the Humane Society will have their “Big Mac” mobile adoption center onsite. Please take a few moments to stop by and say “hi” to the dedicated staff and meet their extended family of friends awaiting adoption. Find a new companion and lend support to a wonderful and compassionate organization.
