Southern Rock and Bar-B-Q Festival: Our Artists
The Southern Rock and BBQ Music Festival is less than a month away and so much is going on! First and foremost, there are only 2 VIP tickets left and General Admission tickets are going like gang busters. The word is out; this is going to be the most memorable festival you will go to in 2019.
Our headliner, RattleBone, is releasing their brand-new CD “RattleBone” in a couple weeks. Just in time for the festival. They have been in the studio throughout the holidays and now is the time. We are celebrating their CD Release Party – at the festival! You can get your hands on this culmination of great musicians literally ‘hot off the presses’ and get to hear a few amazing songs from the CD live! Chris Anderson, Johnny Neel, and Dennis Gulley have formed a super band and we will be the first people to see them perform live! What better place than Chris’ hometown, with his home team!
Preacher Stone and the Curt Towne Band just stepped off the Southern Rock cruise out of Tampa this January, playing with the likes of Blackberry Smoke, Marshall Tucker, Molly Hatchet and Lynyrd Skynyrd. These guys are in good company and they can certainly hang with the boys! With their meaty vocals and hard driving guitars, these two bands are sure to have you rockin’.
Another hometown favorite will be Damon Fowler. If you haven’t picked up his new CD Whiskey Bayou Sessions, now is your opportunity. Along with a very successful reputation with his own band, Damon most recently played in the Dickey Betts Band on their most recent tour. Of course, all of us that know Damon, realize that is repertoire of colleagues goes for miles.
Jake Castro, also a local artist will have just returned from NAMM. Jeff Cook, of Alabama, has taken Jake under his wing and this young man has a very bright future in music. He doesn’t perform locally very often, so now is your chance to see what this guy is made of and why so many national artists have taken a shine to him.
We all know Dana Lawrence and Kettle of Fish. These guys are one of the strongest, most popular local bands in this area. Dana’s vocals are second to none and his band always delivers. Come early so you can dance and sing along with one of the most loved bands around.
To start our festival, we have invited Whiskey Foxtrot from North Carolina. These guys are a blend of young ambition and older wisdom. They are working hard to make a name for themselves and you will be nothing short of totally impressed with their music. Please show them some southern hospitality and come early.
What a lineup and it’s not over yet! We are planning a giant All-Star Jam at the end of the night which will include a few songs from an old Sarasota band called The Anderson-Poulos Band. That’s right! Chris Anderson, Greg Poulos and Mike Kach will reunite and take the stage for a little nostalgia. After that, members from all the bands will be rockin out for a big finale – but wait; there could be more…we are talking to a couple guests to join the all-star jam that just might blow your mind!
The excitement is building, and sales are moving fast. There’s lots to do in our last month before the big event, but we guarantee you all that this show is going to deliver a huge ‘bang’ and I can say with confidence everyone will have the time of their lives. All of us behind the scenes are looking forward to seeing you.
