Second Annual Turtle Watch Wednesday at Hurricane Hanks on Anna Maria Island
Another year of fun and fundraising is coming up at the Second Annual Turtle Watch Wednesday. This event, hosted by A Paradise Realty and Vacation Rentals and Hurricane Hanks, benefits the Anna Maria Island Turtle Watch and Shorebird Monitoring organization.
Along with co-sponsors, J&J Graphics and The Anna Maria Island Sun, A Paradise and Hurricane Hanks are promising for another wonderful event working together. Join the festivities on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hurricane Hanks, at 5346 Gulf Drive in Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island.
The first 75 guests greeted by an A Paradise team member will receive a free drink ticket. Hurricane Hanks will offer 50% discounts on appetizers and will donate $1 for every food and drink item sold at the event. The fundraisers include a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, and sales of special event-specific T-shirts that will be available for a $20 donation.
There is sure to be delicious food, great drinks, and exciting raffle and auction items to bid on. Not to mention it’s a great opportunity to spend some time with many people from the Island community, all for a good cause. The funds raised will go directly into the admirable local environmental efforts of the Anna Maria Island Turtle Watch and Shorebird Monitoring organization, which work to make our beaches and shorelines a cleaner and safer place for our treasured sea turtles to nest. Sea turtles play vital roles in our marine ecosystem so it’s important for us to educate ourselves and help support the work of those working to protect the sea turtles in our beachside home.
All are welcome but, if you’re looking for more ways to get involved in this important event, you can donate silent auction items or get more information by calling A Paradise’s Marketing and Public Relations Director Sharon Hoatland at 941-729-2381.
