Say ‘I Do’ Again: Sarasota County’s Romantic Beachside Vow Renewal Returns This Valentine’s Day

Love is in the salty air once again as Sarasota County invites couples to reaffirm their commitment during the beloved Say ‘I Do’ Again seaside vow renewal ceremony on Valentine’s Day, February 14. This cherished tradition offers couples the chance to celebrate their love against the stunning Gulf Coast backdrop at Siesta Beach and Nokomis Beach, with ceremonies beginning promptly at 6 p.m. at both locations.

Hosted by Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, the non-denominational ceremony welcomes couples of all ages and stages—whether married for a year or a lifetime—to renew vows in a joyful, inclusive celebration. The Siesta Beach ceremony will be officiated by Stephen Walker, while Shannon Hankin will preside at Nokomis Beach.

    • Siesta Beach, 948 Beach Road, Sarasota
    • Nokomis Beach, 100 Casey Key Road, Nokomis
  • Pre-Registration: $20 per couple (open through February 8)
  • Day-of Registration: $30 per couple (credit cards only), opens at 4:30 p.m.

Registered couples receive a vow renewal certificate, a commemorative gift, and a flower. The evening also includes music, light refreshments, and plenty of photo opportunities as the sun sets over the Gulf—making it a picture-perfect Valentine’s Day memory.

Now in its 36th year, Say ‘I Do’ Again has become a Valentine’s Day staple for locals and visitors alike, drawing couples who appreciate its relaxed, romantic atmosphere and breathtaking beachfront settings.

“The upcoming Say ‘I Do’ Again renewal event at Siesta and Nokomis beaches is a unique way to celebrate Valentine’s Day,” said Destiny Gonzalez, Events and Programming Supervisor for Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources. “We’re excited to watch lovebirds renew their vows on two of the most beautiful beaches.”

Couples are encouraged to arrive early, bring comfortable seating if desired, and dress for an outdoor beach setting. The event is weather-dependent, so checking conditions ahead of time is recommended.
