Save the Date – the next Party Under the Stars is February 26, 2022

In 2020 Party Under the Stars was awarded SRQ Magazine’s 2020 Best Local Event, and you don’t want to miss seeing what all the hype is about in 2022. The event in 2020 boasted over 300 people in attendance and helped raise over $357,000 to help cancer patients here in Florida. This event benefiting the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation will help continue their initiative of never turning away a qualified candidate in need of funding to help their cancer treatment process.

Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation

The Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation (FCSF) was established in January 2011 by a group of FCS physicians who personally seeded the fund with a generous gift of $500,000. These dollars were deposited in a corporate donor-advised fund administered by the Gulf Coast Community Foundation in Venice, FL. The Gulf Coast Community Foundation, at FCS management request, awarded grants and sponsorships to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations with cancer missions, such as the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen, and Naples Community Hospital.

Through a merger with Gulf Coast Oncology (GCO) Group of Pinellas County in 2011, Florida Cancer Specialists inherited a 501(c)(3) Foundation established by that practice in 2009. And in February 2012, all accounts were transferred to Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation. July 2014 marked the official re-launch of the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation in Sarasota, Florida. The Volunteer Program was initiated, and paid staff and volunteers began working together to provide assistance and support to individuals who have cancer. The Foundation has grown exponentially since its inception, and to date, we have awarded close to $7 million in grants to cancer patients in need.

2022 Party Under the Stars

One of the best ways to keep funding the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation and help even more cancer patients is to attend the 2022 Party Under the Stars Event. All event proceeds provide non–medical financial assistance to cancer patients as they undergo treatment. Tickets will be going on sale soon, but here are a few highlights to next years event:

When: Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 6-10 p.m.

Where: Sarasota Hyatt Regency – 100 Boulevard of the Arts

Theme: Masquerade Theme (Mardi Gras style; not pandemic masks LOL)

Event Highlights: entertainment, dancing, dining, and silent and live auctions with fabulous items

Band for the Evening: Sugar Vibe
