Sarasota to Host 2026 & 2027 UCI BMX World Cup Finals Ahead of LA2028 Olympics

Sarasota to Welcome the World for BMX Racing’s Biggest Stage

Sarasota County is set to take the global stage as Visit Sarasota County, in partnership with Sarasota BMX, proudly announced the return of the UCI BMX Racing World Cup Finals in both 2026 and 2027. The events will be held at the renowned Sarasota BMX track and serve as key Olympic qualifiers for the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.

Joining elite host countries such as France, the Netherlands, Turkey, China, and Australia, Sarasota’s selection solidifies its place as a top-tier destination for international sports competition.

“We are thrilled to welcome back the UCI BMX Racing World Cup to Sarasota,” said Pete Harvey, Director of Sports for Visit Sarasota County. “These events present an amazing opportunity to highlight our community’s commitment to sports excellence on the world stage.”

🗓️ Event Dates

  • 2026 World Cup Final Rounds: October 31 – November 1, 2026
  • 2027 World Cup Final Rounds: October 2 – 3, 2027
  • Location: Sarasota BMX Track, Sarasota County, Florida

Each season’s World Cup will consist of eight rounds across four international venues, giving elite BMX riders from around the globe the chance to earn Olympic qualification points leading up to LA2028.

The UCI BMX Racing World Cup will be broadcast worldwide via the UCI’s official YouTube channel, offering global visibility for both the athletes and Sarasota County as a host destination.
