ReImagine Dance Fundraiser Brings Inclusive Dance and Live Music to Encore Live Sarasota

ReImagine Dance will bring its dancers, families and supporters together for a special community fundraiser on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Encore Live in Sarasota.

The fundraising portion of the evening will run from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to make donations supporting ReImagine Dance and its mission of making dance accessible to children and young adults with disabilities.

The ReImagine Dance performers will take the stage at 5:30 p.m., giving attendees an opportunity to see the joy, confidence and sense of belonging the program helps create. Guests will also be able to meet the dancers and their families and learn more about the organization’s impact on the Sarasota community.

Creating a Place Where Every Dancer Can Shine

ReImagine Dance provides an inclusive and encouraging environment where dancers ages 7 to 24 can express themselves through movement, develop friendships and build confidence both on and off the dance floor.

Through adaptive instruction, dedicated volunteers and a welcoming atmosphere, the program works to remove the physical, financial, mobility and societal barriers that can prevent individuals with disabilities from participating in dance.

ReImagine Dance does not charge dancers with disabilities to participate. Program expenses are covered through donations, sponsorships and community fundraising.

Money raised during the September 24 event will help support dance instruction, costumes, dance shoes, class materials, recital expenses and volunteer preparation. These contributions allow dancers and their families to concentrate on learning, performing and enjoying the experience without worrying about the cost.

The organization’s guiding message—“Our ability is stronger than our disability”—reflects its commitment to recognizing each dancer’s strengths and celebrating what every individual can accomplish.

Jack’d Up Keeps the Celebration Going

After the ReImagine Dance fundraiser concludes at 7:00 p.m., Sarasota’s outstanding Jack’d Up Band will keep the evening going with live music from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.

Known for its energetic performances, Jack’d Up plays a dance-friendly mix of rock, pop and party favorites from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s through today. The performance gives supporters another reason to stay, celebrate and enjoy an evening of live local entertainment.

The fundraiser will be held at Encore Live, located at 8341 N. Lockwood Ridge Road in Sarasota. The venue offers live entertainment along with food, creative cocktails and a large dance floor. There will be great raffle and auction items.

Sande Caplin & Associates previously donated the development of the new ReImagine Dance website, helping the organization provide families, volunteers and supporters with a central place to learn about its programs and ways to contribute.
