ReImagine Dance Brings Inclusive Dance and Live Music to Encore Live September 24

The Sarasota community will come together for an evening of dance, music and giving as ReImagine Dance hosts a special event at Encore Live on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

The event runs from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a special ReImagine Dance performance scheduled for 5:30 p.m. sharp.

Admission is free, and donations are strongly encouraged to support a local organization that is providing children and young adults with disabilities an opportunity to dance, perform, build friendships and be part of a welcoming community.

More Than a Dance Performance

ReImagine Dance serves dancers ages 7 to 24, creating an inclusive environment where participants can express themselves through movement while developing confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging.

The organization works to remove physical, financial, mobility and societal barriers that can make participation in traditional dance programs difficult for individuals with disabilities.

Most importantly, participating dancers with disabilities are able to take part without the financial burden normally associated with dance programs.

Community donations help pay for dance instruction, shoes, costumes, class supplies, recital expenses and volunteer preparation.

Every contribution helps ReImagine Dance continue its mission of making dance accessible to families throughout the Sarasota area.

A Special Performance at 5:30

One of the highlights of the September 24 event will be seeing the ReImagine Dance performers take the stage at 5:30 p.m.

For those who have never attended a ReImagine Dance performance, this is an opportunity to experience firsthand what the organization is all about.

The dancers, their families, volunteers and supporters have created a community built around encouragement and inclusion, and the September 24 event gives the public an opportunity to meet many of the people who make that community possible.

ReImagine Dance’s message is simple but powerful:

“Our ability is stronger than our disability.”

Raffles, Auction Items and More

The evening will also feature raffle and auction items, providing additional opportunities for attendees to support ReImagine Dance while enjoying the event.

Whether you stay for an hour or spend the entire evening at Encore Live, every donation and every person who attends helps bring greater awareness to the organization’s mission.

Jack’D Up Takes the Stage at 7 p.m.

The evening doesn’t end when the ReImagine Dance event concludes.

Beginning at 7:00 p.m., Jack’D Up will take over the stage at Encore Live for three hours of live music.

The Sarasota-area band performs a high-energy mix of rock, pop and party favorites spanning several decades, giving supporters a chance to remain at the venue and continue the celebration until 10:00 p.m.

Sarasota Community Support Makes the Program Possible

ReImagine Dance depends upon donors, sponsors, volunteers and local businesses to keep its programs accessible.

Current community supporters include Soul Studios, Fine Properties – Krissy Bilbrey Real Estate, Clancy’s and Sande Caplin & Associates.

Sande Caplin & Associates recently donated the development of a new website for ReImagine Dance, giving the organization a central online destination where families can learn about programs, volunteers can get involved and supporters can contribute.
