Parisian French Marketplace Coming to Sarasota
Le Marche, a Parisian French Marketplace, came to be almost 10 years ago when a lovely customer came into our shop and started to talk about how she enjoyed repurposing items. The items might be old car parts that artistically turned into lamps or pieces of various items that are turned into directional signs to the beach or the park; wonderful vintage clothing, taken from so many different pieces that are sewn together to create an exquisite and one of a kind dress or coat, vintage furniture that is refurbished and made new!
The conversation turned into a yearly event that takes place every spring at our beautiful Five Points Park, sponsored by the Merchants organization, Sarasota Downtown Enrichment Association. The one-day-only event is well received and to top off the fun day, we have the best French singer to grace our stage, the International star, Michelet Innocent. His beautiful voice and warm personality make the day so very special. He will graciously take your request and has a magnificent repertoire of very beautiful songs.
It’s a glorious day in the Park, strolling from artist to artist and finding treasures along the way. An added benefit to the day is lunch or dinner at one of the many epicure’s delight restaurants – downtown Sarasota has everything you could want as far as delicious choices of food and crafted cocktails from all over the world from fresh seafood to Thai to Mediterranean, Italian, Mexican, and American cuisine.
We are looking forward to a spectacular LeMarche Bohemian, Saturday, March 20, from 10-5 p.m. This will be a different year, of course, but we are certain everyone will be ready to come out and enjoy a safe and interesting event. We hope you’ll join us!
