PAL Star Strut At Tarpon Bay Grill & Tiki Bar In Sarasota, FL

The PAL Star Strut, a Hearts Desire Fashion Show hosted by local artist Vicki Rollo. Rollo works closely with nonprofit organizations to help them with their fundraising efforts by presenting wearable art fashions, featuring her jewelry and creative collections on local models for the show. Some of the “stars” are familiar names and faces in the area: Manatee County Commissioner Betsy Benac, Vice Mayor of Sarasota Jennifer Ahern Koch, artist and author Donna Gauntlett, musical diva Sheri Nadelman, jazz vocalist Synia Carroll, model and grandmother Vicki Hornberger.

The Musical Entertainment will be performed by the Dynamic Duo, Steve Arvey and Rebecca “the Song” Bird. Steve formerly known for the group named The Delta Swamp Rats which featured the Cigar Box Guitar. This group’s raw sound which was labeled “Mississippi Delta Funk” raised Steve Arvey’s popularity in the Cigar Box Guitar World. Steve’s partner, Rebecca Bird, is an energetic female vocalist originally from New York. Rebecca’s music will get you up & dancin’ as well as heal your soul.

 

 

This fashion show-luncheon, on Wednesday, February 27, from 11AM-2PM is hosted by Kelly Gotha and her family- owned restaurant, the Tarpon Bay Grill & Tiki Bar, located just north of the Sarasota-Bradenton airport (7150 N. Tamiami Trail, inside the Ramada). “Where Elegance Meets Olde Florida”… this one of a kind waterfront destination is one of the most amazing casual dining spots in the area. Kelly’s passion for family and community is unique and something she truly enjoys, therefore she is offering her venue for this fundraising opportunity to support 501c3 non-profit agency, The Police Athletic League of Manatee County, Inc. (aka Manatee PAL).

PAL Star Strut will be at Tarpon Bay Grill & Tiki in Sarasota, FLManatee PAL uses athletic and recreational programs as a tool, a way to involve children in their program. While involved with PAL, the message of avoiding gangs, drugs, alcohol, and other detriments, is discussed with the youngsters. Although nationally known as a recreation program, Manatee PAL has adapted to the changing times. PAL programs now incorporate programs such as mentoring and homework help to further aid our children in the community.

There will be an exciting vendor bazaar for everyone’s shopping pleasure! Hearts Desire will also offer a pop-up boutique of wearable art fashions and donate a portion of sales to PAL.
