On With The Show
If you like old barbershop standards, Broadway show tunes, rock and roll hits, patriotic songs, and inspirational music, you’ll find a lot to enjoy at the Sarasota Chorus of the Keys’ two shows on February 20.
The always entertaining and very energetic Chorus is following up on their highly acclaimed Through The Years show last year with two fast-paced shows at 2:30 and 7:00 PM on Saturday, February 20 at the Riverview Performing Arts Center.
“We are very excited to once again perform for our very loyal audiences,” said Bob Amer, VP/Marketing and PR. “We literally have something for everybody in this show.” Mr. Amer also noted that the Chorus recently took first place honors among mid-size Choruses in Florida’s statewide competition.
Under the dynamic direction of gold medal winning Drew Kirkman, the Chorus will welcome back the very popular Sarasota personality Kent Perry to emcee the shows. The shows will also feature a rising star quartet, Signature, which recently placed 15th in International competition. “They will knock your socks off,” Kirkman said.
An extra added attraction will be the appearance of Katy Ditchfield from the famous Ditchfield Family Singers. “We are very excited about having Katy on our show,” Kirkman said. “Anyone who has heard her perform on Ditchfield shows knows how wonderfully entertaining she is.”
In addition to the Signature quartet and Katy Ditchfield, Kirkman indicated there may be some additional surprises that will wow audiences.
Tickets are $20, $25, $30, and $35, and are available online at www.chorusofthekeys.org or by calling 941-350-0380.
