New Year’s Day, The Shamrock Shiver Tradition Continues at Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub
For the 18th year in a row, Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub in Bradenton will be helping locals ring in the New Year with compassion, community spirit, and a whole lot of heart. What began as the Shamrock Shiver Charity Plunge has grown into one of the Suncoast’s most anticipated annual fundraising traditions—bringing neighbors together to support children’s charities across Manatee County.
This year’s “plunge” will be at Coquina Beach, with the festivities beginning at 10 am at Clancy’s for Bloody Marys, and the costume contest will begin at 11:30 am at the beach. Everyone will be plunging into the water at noon. Back at the bar, Dr. Dave Band will be performing from 1-3. There will be a silent auction, live auction, 50/50, and wine/booze pull. Topping off the night, Rye Road will be performing from 6-10 pm.

Supporting Local Children’s Charities
Proceeds from the event will benefit three respected 501(c)(3) organizations serving children and families in the region:
- Healthy Teens – Providing education, counseling, and resources to empower young people to make healthy life choices.
- Hungers End – Ending Hunger, providing hope in our community.
- Blessing Bags Project – Dedication to the homeless and less fortunate by providing basic, critical needs.
Each organization plays a vital role in strengthening the community and improving outcomes for local youth.
