Motorworks in Bradenton Yappy Hour to Support Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare

| Caryn V. Hodge |

Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare (FoMCAW) extends a tail wagging invitation to everyone for the upcoming Yappy Hour at Motorworks Brewery.  FoMCAW will be the featured nonprofit at this event. With over $3000 in raffles and silent auction items, along with a 50/50 drawing, this event is aimed at raising funds for the Manatee County Animal Welfare shelter animals.

This family-friendly and pet-friendly event is scheduled for Sunday, January 21st, in the Motorworks Beer Garden from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Attendees can anticipate a delightful array of vendors offering pet and non-pet-related products, with drink specials and delectable food from local food trucks, all set in the 12,000 sq ft. artificially turfed beer garden. There will be live music and family-friendly games like Corn Hole. Football games will be televised as well.

Raffles and silent auction items include enticing items such as spa packages, restaurant gift cards, boat tours, fabulous gift baskets, pet items, handmade arts by local artisans, jewelry, baskets of spirits, gourmet gift packages, and much more.

Pet owners are encouraged to bring their leashed pets to partake in the festivities and contribute to the mission of Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare. The organization works hand in hand with Manatee County Animal Welfare to enrich the lives of shelter animals by raising funds to provide additional resources, medical care, and heartworm treatment.

With the shelter, like most shelters across the nation, being at a critical capacity, support is even more crucial for helping find the cats and dogs find foster and forever homes. On average the shelter is taking in 11 dogs a day and currently housing 170 dogs. Manatee County Animal Welfare is a No-Kill shelter.
