Matt Pond PA Brings 20th Anniversary ‘Several Arrows Later’ Tour to Fogartyville in Sarasota
Indie rock mainstay Matt Pond PA returns to the stage this winter with a special Sarasota appearance celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band’s breakthrough album, Several Arrows Later. The intimate concert takes place Wednesday, January 14 at 7 p.m. at Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center.
Formed in the late 1990s, Matt Pond PA has long been known for emotionally rich songwriting that blends indie rock with chamber-pop textures. Across a 13-album catalog, frontman Matt Pond has built a loyal following through songs that explore love, distance, memory, and human connection—often set against natural imagery that feels both personal and expansive.
The Fogartyville show will feature a stripped-down trio format, giving longtime fans a rare opportunity to hear the songs in an up-close, acoustic-leaning setting. Pond will be joined by longtime collaborator Hilary James of Bathtub Cig on cello, along with guitarist John Courage. Together, the trio will revisit key tracks from Several Arrows Later, including fan favorites like “Halloween,” “So Much Trouble,” “Brooklyn Stars,” and the album’s haunting title track.

In addition to the anniversary material, the setlist will span selections from throughout Matt Pond PA’s extensive catalog, along with newer songs written in collaboration with Pond’s wife, singer-songwriter Anya Marina. The mix of old and new promises a reflective, career-spanning evening that highlights the band’s evolution while honoring the record that helped define their sound.
Tickets are $25 for WSLR+Fogartyville members, $30 for non-members, and $15 for students (ages 13+). Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center is located at 525 Kumquat Court in Sarasota, with audience entry through the alleyway leading to the performance space.
