Love 60s and 70s Rock? Don’t Miss the Rock & Roll Revival Festival in Brooksville, Florida

| Suncoast Post Staff |

Music fans across Florida are invited to celebrate the legendary sounds of the 1960s and 1970s as the Rock & Roll Revival Festival returns for its 7th anniversary on April 17–19, 2026 at the beautiful Florida Sand Music Ranch in Brooksville, Florida.

Formerly known as the Spirit of Woodstock Festival, the event has evolved into Rock & Roll Revival to better represent the powerful music of not only the iconic 1969 Woodstock era, but the entire generation of unforgettable rock, blues, and folk music from the 1960s and 1970s. Few musical eras have had the cultural impact and staying power of this period, and the festival celebrates those timeless sounds in an unforgettable setting.

The award-winning festival has earned regional recognition, including being named one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Summer Events in 2021.

Three Days of Music, Camping and Festival Fun

Rock & Roll Revival will take place Friday through Sunday, April 17–19, 2026, at Florida Sand Music Ranch, 85 Myers Road in Brooksville, located just off Interstate 75 at Exit 293, about 30 minutes north of Tampa.

The event features three days and three nights of live music, along with optional camping for those who want the full festival experience. While camping adds to the atmosphere, it is not required to attend, and free parking is available for all guests. Both single-day tickets and weekend passes are available.

Thursday Night Kickoff Celebration

Festival weekend officially begins with a FREE Rock & Roll Revival Reunion on Thursday evening.

The kickoff event will feature a facilitated drum circle hosted by Rhythm United, where participants can use provided drums or bring their own instruments. Dancers are welcome to join the celebration as well.

Live music will also be provided by the dynamic duo Alex and MaryLu Kinlaw of the band Yesterdayze, helping set the stage for an exciting weekend ahead.

Keeping the Spirit of Woodstock Alive

While the festival has expanded beyond its original name, the spirit of Woodstock remains a key part of the event. That spirit lives on through the music as well as several creative contests and activities throughout the weekend.

Popular festival contests include:

  • Woofstock Hippie Hound Pooch Parade & Costume Contest
  • Easy Rider Cart Contest & Parade
  • Bohemian Wrapsody Hippie Costume Contest
  • Pimp Your Pad – Grooviest Campsite Contest

These fun events help create the laid-back, colorful vibe that makes the festival unique.

Yoga, Kids Activities and Family Fun

Rock & Roll Revival is designed to be a family-friendly festival experience.

Festival guests can enjoy free yoga classes on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10 a.m., courtesy of Brooksville Yoga Company. The sessions are open to all ticket holders and campers.

On Saturday, children can participate in special activities at the Youth Pavilion, featuring fun programs for kids ages 4–12.

Even better, children 17 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a ticketed adult, making the festival an affordable and enjoyable outing for families.

The festival features a covered stage and seating area, creating an intimate environment for music lovers while still offering a large dance area for those who want to get up and groove.

Camping Options and Nearby Hotels

For those who want the full festival experience, camping is available on site.

Guests can reserve water and electric sites, which are limited and tend to sell out quickly. There are also unlimited tent camping areas and space available for self-contained RV units with quiet generators.

Visitors who prefer traditional lodging will find several hotels located just one exit away from the festival grounds.
