Ladies Sing The Blues- 9/11/2014

Steve Arvey, The Sarasota Post and Sande Caplin and Associates are pleased to announce that the next “Ladies Sing The Blues” event will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014.  This is going to be the biggest and best LSB event to date.

At least once a year, The Sarasota/Bradenton area’s finest lady blues music performers get together and give a full-throttle performance to raise money to help local charities and organizations.  Every event is performed on behalf of a different group, and the spirit of giving comes alive in the local talent that performs.

Ladies Sing the Blues was founded by Steve Arvey in 2011, to make the community aware of the amazing talent among women who sang, played, and dedicated themselves to following in the footsteps of Etta James, Janis Joplin, and Bonnie Raitt, just to mention a few.  The premier performance in 2011 at Ocean Blues, helped to raise money towards finding a cure for Breast Cancer.  The event was a huge success and a substantial donation was raised. Since then, there have been  seven additional shows.

The event plans are close to being completed.  It will be a day / night extravaganza  held at a venue in Bradenton.  All proceeds will be going to a very important organization in our area….to be announced.  Please check back on the Sarasota Post for more details and the website, www.ladiessingtheblues.org.
