Join the 2025 Great American Cleanup in Sarasota County: Volunteer Registration Now Open

Keep Sarasota County Beautiful (KSCB) is calling on community members to participate in the annual Great American Cleanup on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at various locations throughout Sarasota County. This nationwide initiative, spearheaded by Keep America Beautiful since 1998, stands as the country’s largest community improvement program, engaging over 5 million volunteers annually to enhance and beautify local environments. ​Sarasota County Government+1Sarasota County Government+1

Event Details

  • Date and Time: Saturday, April 12, 2025, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.​
  • Locations: Multiple sites across Sarasota County, including beaches, parks, and urban areas.​
  • Registration Deadline: Wednesday, April 9, 2025.​

How to Participate

Due to anticipated high volunteer turnout, pre-registration is mandatory. Walk-up volunteers will not be accommodated. To secure your spot:​Eventbrite+1City of Sarasota | Home+1

  1. Select a Cleanup Site: Choose from various locations such as Manasota Beach Park, North Port City Hall, Blind Pass Beach, MLK Park, and Lido Beach. ​Eventbrite
  2. Register Online: Visit the KSCB Eventbrite page to sign up for your preferred location. ​
  3. Complete the Release Form: After registering, fill out the necessary release form as prompted during the registration process.​

Additional Information

  • Site Captains Needed: KSCB is seeking volunteers to lead cleanup efforts at various locations. If interested, indicate your willingness during the registration process.​
  • Community Service Hours: Students and individuals seeking community service hours can earn them by participating in this event. ​
  • What to Bring: Volunteers are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing, bring reusable gloves, and stay hydrated. Specific instructions may be provided upon registration.​
