Gregg Allman, Sarasota’s Favorite Rock Star Is Coming Home!

I promised my friend, Barbara Strauss that this story would not be about her, and it’s not.  I do want to say that for two hours over coffee yesterday at “Patrick’s” on Main Street I was in awe as Barbara shared some really cool stuff about her life and the Sarasota Blues Festival that she “produced” for 18 years.   Barbara’s latest project is producing a show on Wednesday, January 8th at the Sailor Circus Arena starring Gregg Allman.

Sarasota is excited about this and we are blessed that this show will take place at a really cool venue, the “Sailor Circus Arena.”  There is so much history….some great talent has played there including Styxx and Foreigner.

Under the “big top,” The Greg Billings Band will be performing.  Gregg Allman with be traveling with another band to be announced later. Sarasota is Allman Brothers Country so there is going to be some history made on January 8, 2014.

One more piece of information about Barbara Strauss.  Barbara  loves and I mean loves what she does.  Circus Sarasota will be the recipient of a portion of the proceeds that night.  So come on out for a night that you will never forget.  Tickets are $35.00 / $45.00
