Fishermen’s Village Sparkles: A Magical Holiday Lighting Celebration in Punta Gorda
Celebrate the magic of the season at Fishermen’s Village during our annual Lighting of the Village! This unforgettable holiday tradition promises a dazzling display of lights, vibrant décor, and family-friendly fun throughout the waterfront destination. From twinkling storefronts to towering trees adorned with festive ornaments, every corner of the Village will come alive in a spectacular holiday glow.
Join us as we kick off the festivities with live music, a special appearance from Santa, and the grand Lighting Ceremony that will make this holiday season truly shine. There’s something for everyone—whether you’re enjoying the sounds of traditional holiday music, shopping for unique gifts, or savoring delicious seasonal treats.
Event Highlights and Schedule: November 16, 2024, 5-9pm.
- 5:00 PM – Live Music with the Shane Duncan Band at Dry Beach
- 5:45 PM – Santa’s Arrival via Punta Gorda Fire Department
- 6:00 PM – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with youth singing star Josie Salvitti
- 6:15 PM – Grand Lighting of the Village
- Post-Lighting – Guns and Hoses Pipes and Drums Parade through the Village
- 7:00-10:00 PM – Live Holiday Music with Josie Salvitti at Center Court
- 5:00-9:00 PM – Meet Santa and the Grinch for fun photo ops
- 5:00-9:00 PM – Divas ‘N Dolls Fairy Hair and Kona Ice of Charlotte County
- 5:00-9:00 PM – Face Painting and Balloon Creations by Bouncing Buddies
In addition to the holiday festivities, the Peace River Wildlife Center will be on hand to share information about their rebuilding efforts following Hurricane Milton. Visitors are encouraged to make a donation at their booth as an “admission” to the event, or donate online to support their efforts at Peace River Wildlife Center Donations.
