Legendary Allman Brothers Band guitarist, Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer and Bradenton native, Dickey Betts will play a very special show in Sarasota on May 15th.
Not only is Betts lauded as one of Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, but he’s an overall musical genius – winning a Grammy for his instrumental “Jessica” in 1995, and penned hits like “Ramblin’ Man” and “Blue Sky”.
Since retiring from live performances in 2014, Dickey Betts was waiting for the right time to come back. The southern rock legend and longtime guitarist of The Allman Brothers Band decided the time is now.
Starting a tour with a rare, personal hometown show in Sarasota at White Buffalo Saloon. This performance, to be used as a sort of “dress rehearsal” for his 7-stop tour along the East Coast, will give fans a glimpse at the exciting shows in store. The setlist Betts promises will feature favorite Allman Brothers Band songs, in tribute to Gregg Allman, along with his solo jams.
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see one of rock and roll’s greats up-close-and-personal doesn’t come often, so tickets are available at the door, but this show is expected to sell out quickly so buy ahead online is recommended.
