Celebrate Jimmy Buffett Day with a Month of Pet-Friendly Fun at Compass Hotel Anna Maria Sound

Compass Hotel by Margaritaville Anna Maria Sound is bringing the island spirit to life this August with a month-long celebration in honor of Jimmy Buffett Day on August 29, 2025 — all while supporting a great local cause, Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare. From specialty drinks and raffles to pet adoptions and unique shopping events, guests and locals can join in the festivities while giving back to animals in need.

A Month of Giving & Good Vibes

From August 1 to August 31, the hotel and its neighboring Floridays Woodfire Grill & Bar will host events and promotions to raise funds and donations for Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare:

• Signature Cocktails for a Cause – Sip on island-inspired drinks at Compass Bar & Chill and Floridays, with a portion of proceeds benefiting local pets.
• Win the Ultimate Getaway – Purchase a $10 raffle ticket at the hotel front desk or Floridays’ host stand for a chance to win a 5-night stay at Compass Hotel Anna Maria Sound, a $100 Floridays gift card, and a 90-minute Paradise Boat Tour for four. Drawing takes place on August 31. Tickets are also available by phone at 941-713-3105.
• Pet Supply Drive – Drop off dog and cat food, toys, and supplies to help shelter animals.

• Jewelry to the Rescue – Saturday, August 23 | 11 AM – 3 PM
  Shop fine and costume jewelry at great prices, enjoy early happy hour, and support Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare.
• Pet Adoption Day – Sunday, August 24 | 10 AM – 2 PM
  Meet your new furry friend and give a shelter animal a loving home.
• Pets Eat Free Weekend – August 23 & 24
  Pets dining with their owners at Floridays’ outdoor tiki bar area can enjoy a free meal from the exclusive pet menu.

Jimmy Buffett Day & Labor Day Celebration

From August 29 to September 5, raise a glass to the legendary singer in an exclusive Jimmy Buffett Day commemorative cup. For every drink sold, $1 will benefit Singing for Change, a charitable foundation created by Jimmy Buffett in 1995.
