Bayfest is Back on the Suncoast Celebrating its 20th Year!
Was September so busy you just focused on getting kids back to school and work accomplished? Do you need a reprieve from the day to day? We have some great news for you – Bayfest is back for its 20th Year on Anna Maria Island Friday and Saturday, October 15th and 16th. Mark in on the calendar as this is sure to be a day the entire family will want to get out and enjoy!
This Year’s Bayfest is being hosted by the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce. This year over fifty arts and crafts vendors are slated to have their wares out for sale during this amazing event. Make a huge dent in that holiday shopping list while supporting local small businesses. Last Year this event didn’t happen due to the pandemic, so you will be sure everyone is excited to come back with a vengeance and bring more amazing treats for all attendees.
Celebrating Bayfest’s 20th year following a pandemic, the Chamber has been hard at work to ensure a safe and sensational event for all! This amazing festival is the biggest of the year in a small community that prides itself on amazing artisans, wonderful family-owned businesses, and making every visitor feel welcome. Take the short trip to Anna Maria Island if you haven’t been there in a while to witness this amazing event for yourself.
In celebration of its big 20th anniversary, Bayfest will include a new kick-off event on Friday, Oct. 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. at City Pier Park. The kickoff will feature live music and select food and beer vendors. With the main events kicking off the next day, Saturday, October 16th. The fun starts at 10 a.m. and goes all the way until 9 p.m. It will include the antique car show, local live music, food and alcohol vendors, beer tents, arts and crafts vendors, entertainment and games, and more.
Take note that the Chamber highlights that the event will be fully outdoors with plenty of spacing, but they recommend bringing your mask for extra safety! If you’re driving to Bayfest, you can find parking at Crosspointe Fellowship Church, which will have its trolley transporting guests to the festival. Additionally, you may find street parking closer to the festival, but it can be limited. Be sure to obey all traffic signs in the area and be extra careful to watch for the influx of pedestrians and bicycles heading to the main event.
The fall weather beckons and this should be a great way to get into the spirit of things here on the Suncoast. From kids to adults, resident to visitor, there is sure to be something at Bayfest for everyone. Let’s make this festival the most well-attended one yet!
