Bar Wars is a fierce and fun competition for local bartenders and is hosted annually at Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub in Bradenton, Florida.

The first round in the competition is a drink contest where the bartenders create a new, specialty drink using a predetermined brand of alcohol. The second round consists of an obstacle course where the bartenders must use their bar skills to their advantage to beat the clock!

This year’s sponsor of the event is Jameson Distilleries. This years participating bars are Corks, Fanatics, Ugly Grouper, Pour Decisions, Tommy Knockers, Hurricane Hanks and the host bar, Clancy’s.

Each bartender will be asked to create a cocktail with Jameson, Jameson Orange, Jameson Black Barrel or Jameson Cold Brew. They get 5 minutes to create their masterpiece. There will be three judges who judge on appearance, taste, and uniqueness.

The second part of the competition is the obstacle course. This is a relay race. It combines bar/serving techniques with goofy obstacles. This is a timed event. The winners get a massive trophy for bragging rights and bags full of goodies! The reigning champions are Corks!
