Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota Celebrates 30 Years with Grammy Winner, Russian Masterpieces, and Royal Vocalists

Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota is thrilled to open its 30th anniversary season with a dynamic lineup of performances throughout October 2025. Showcasing Grammy Award-winning artists, beloved Sarasota musicians, and internationally acclaimed vocalists, the season kicks off with three exciting concerts in three unique series: Sunday Best, Soirée, and Top Shelf Tuesdays.

🎻 October 12 – Contrasts Featuring Grammy Lifetime Achievement Winner

The opening performance of the Sunday Best series, Contrasts, takes place on Sunday, October 12 at 4:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. The concert stars Nicholas Eanet, violinist and recipient of a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, joined by Jungeun Kim (piano), Natalie Helm (cello), and Bharat Chandra (clarinet). The program features:

  • Schubert and Dvořák piano trios
  • Contrasts by Béla Bartók – commissioned by legendary clarinetist Benny Goodman

Artist Series

🎼 October 20 – Legacy: A Russian Soirée Honoring Dr. Joseph Holt

Launching the Soirée Series, Legacy celebrates the enduring contributions of Dr. Joseph Holt, a key figure in Sarasota’s classical music scene for over 16 years. The concert takes place on Monday, October 20 at 4:00 p.m. (an earlier October 19 date is sold out) at the Fischer/Weisenborne private residence.

Holt will be joined by:

  • Daniel Jordan, Concertmaster, Sarasota Orchestra
  • Christopher Schnell, Assistant Principal Cellist, Sarasota Orchestra

🎵 The program features compositions by Kabalevsky, Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, and Shostakovich, reflecting the artists’ responses to Soviet-era challenges.

👑 October 28 – The Queen’s Six Returns for Royal Performance

Back by popular demand, The Queen’s Six returns to Sarasota on Tuesday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Top Shelf Tuesdays series, performing at First Congregational United Church of Christ.

Known for singing at Windsor Castle, royal weddings, and even Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, this British vocal group performs everything from:

  • Renaissance polyphony and sacred chant
  • Folk songs and madrigals
  • Pop and jazz arrangements
