MOD Weekend

Architecture Sarasota presents the 9th annual Sarasota MOD Weekend: Tropical Modernism

| Suncoast Post Staff |

In conjunction with Architecture Sarasota’s new exhibition, MOD Weekend 2022 is devoted to the subject of tropical modernism, in which climate elements such as light, heat and humidity inform key decisions in building design. The Sarasota School of Architecture practitioners, led by visionary Phillip Hiss, embodied this critical regional modern ethos that we have come to know as “tropical modernism.” MOD Weekend will explore examples from Sarasota and from around the globe through a variety of tours, talks and events. We look forward to welcoming you at MOD Weekend 2022!
