Announcing the 1Day Relay Race benefiting The Big Bill Foundation
Fit2Time and The Big Bill Foundation are excited to announce the newest addition to our race calendar, a new race called the 1Day Relay. The 1Day Relay will be a 50(ish) mile Relay Race starting in Bradenton, FL, and finishing in Venice, FL. The event will be on March 16, starting at 7am.
With teams of 4 to 6 people, there will be three divisions: all female teams, all male teams, and mixed gender teams (with a requirement of at least two of each gender). There will be approximately 11 segments and each team member will complete one to three segments of the relay each. A course manual will be provided to each team at least one month prior to the race, allowing teams to review it and assign members each segment.
Seeded start times based on their anticipated completion times will make sure that all teams will finish within a two-hour window. Teams will meet at each exchange point, switching out runners, and will finish by meeting at the Venice Airport Fairgrounds.
All team members will receive a custom medal. Awards will be given to the fastest 3 teams in each division, as well as other awards for best team theme/costumes, best team transportation, and more.
The 2024 1Day Relay will be limited to 100 teams, allowing for the best experience for all. Proceeds from this race will benefit The Big Bill Foundation, and the race will be managed by Fit2Time Race Management.
About The Big Bill Foundation
The Big Bill Foundations mission is to provide scholarships to youth that have battled childhood cancer or other life-threatening conditions.
