25th Annual BayFest Returns to Anna Maria Island October 17 for a Full Day of Music, Cars, Food and Island Fun
One of Anna Maria Island’s signature fall events is returning this October, and 2026 marks a major milestone. The Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce will present the 25th Annual BayFest on Saturday, October 17, 2026, bringing a full day of entertainment, food, shopping and community spirit to Pine Avenue in the City of Anna Maria.
BayFest will run from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. along Pine Avenue. The event is expected to feature live music, a classic car show, local vendors, food trucks, beer, wine and other adult beverages, along with activities designed to keep visitors enjoying the island throughout the day.
A Quarter-Century of BayFest on Anna Maria Island
Reaching the 25-year mark gives this year’s BayFest added significance. The annual festival has become one of the island’s best-known community gatherings, combining the relaxed atmosphere of Anna Maria Island with music, local businesses, food and classic automobiles.
The Chamber is encouraging residents and visitors alike to make a day of the celebration and support local businesses and the island community.
That local-business component is especially important for an event held on Pine Avenue, where independently owned shops, restaurants and businesses are an important part of the character of Anna Maria. Large community events such as BayFest can introduce visitors to businesses they may not otherwise discover while creating additional foot traffic during the fall season.
Live Music, Classic Cars and Plenty to Eat
While the complete 2026 entertainment schedule and vendor lineup have not yet been released, organizers have already announced several of BayFest’s traditional attractions.
Visitors can expect live music throughout the celebration, giving Pine Avenue a festival atmosphere from morning into the evening. A classic car show is also scheduled to return, traditionally one of the most popular portions of BayFest for automobile enthusiasts and families alike.
Food will be another major part of the day, with food trucks and other dining options expected to be available. Beer, wine and other adult beverages are also included among the announced offerings.
Local vendors will round out the festival experience, giving visitors an opportunity to browse merchandise and support area businesses and organizations.
Plan Ahead for a Busy Day on the Island
Anyone planning to attend should keep in mind that BayFest is one of Anna Maria Island’s larger annual events. Pine Avenue and surrounding areas can become busy, particularly during peak festival hours.
Visitors traveling from Bradenton, Sarasota or elsewhere along the Suncoast may want to allow extra travel time and watch for updated information concerning parking, road access and transportation as the event gets closer.
For information about getting around the island, visitors can also check the Manatee County Area Transit website for current information about the Anna Maria Island trolley and other transportation services.
