12th Annual Manatee PAL Golf Classic, at the Beautiful Ritz-Carlton Golf Club
The Police Athletic League of Manatee County, (aka Manatee PAL) provides programs for youth. These programs seek to develop mind and body through academics and sports training from Manatee County Law-enforcement Officers.
PAL is a safe place where athletics and academic reinforcement instill pride, responsibility, self-confidence, teamwork, and respect in the youth it serves. We strive to be the most affordable and outstanding sports program in Manatee County. The relationship between our law-enforcement officer coaches and the children who participate in our programs help to prevent gang violence and drug activity using educational and sports activities. PAL is based on the strong belief that children, if reached early enough, can develop a strong positive attitude in their journey through life.
Our major fundraising event we hold yearly is our Golf Classic. The success of these programs is dependent on the proceeds raised from our fundraising event. The success of our fundraising event is dependent on the community’s involvement, sponsorship, attendance, and donations. This year, the 12th annual event will be held on October 31, 2022, at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Sarasota. Registration fee includes eighteen holes of golf, cart, gift bag, lunch, and dinner. There will also be a silent auction and raffle.

From the Manatee PAL website: Many youths in Manatee County live in neighborhoods threatened by gangs, drugs, violence, and poverty. The Manatee Sheriff’s Office reports that the most prevalent youth crimes are assault, burglary, and vandalism. Studies show that youth engaged with law enforcement officers and other adult mentors are less likely to become involved in these types of crime. PAL provides a safe place where athletics and academic reinforcement instill pride, responsibility, self-confidence, teamwork, and respect. We strive to be the most affordable and outstanding sports program in Manatee County.
With our dedicated volunteers and law enforcement coaches in the program, PAL provides many opportunities for youth to learn and grow. College scholarships can be the roadmap out of circumstances that prohibit success. PAL athletes often receive college sports and academic scholarships to pursue their education after high school. We believe this is an important way for youth to travel toward success in life. At PAL positive values are taught and support is always provided.
