The Lovin’ Spoonfull- Great Eats!

Last week, I stopped in to get a haircut at my favorite place, the Ringling Barber Shop. Jackie Hamel has been cutting my hair for many years. I love Jackie….she always has such great stories to tell and gives great haircuts! I asked her about the new coffee shop that opened a few doors down, The Lovin’ Spoonfull. She said “it was great.”

I ventured over to check it out. There had been several other owners in the location. The restaurant was freshly painted, simple and nice. The menu consists of soup, salad and sandwiches. And, oh what a great menu it is. They have delicious wraps, tuna melt, all kinds of delicious salads and more. And oh, by the way they have a great breakfast menu which includes biscuits and gravy!

I had the tuna salad sandwich and homemade iced tea. The sandwich was huge and delicious! What impressed me most was that the sandwich was topped with fresh cucumber, onions and tomato….the way my grandma used to make it.

I shouldn’t have, but I ate the entire sandwich! I can’t wait to go back to try the chicken salad, BLT and more. Hey folks, Tom Madeiros has a real nice place here. Give it a try….it’s locally owned and you know that the local’s need the business.
