One of my personal favorite places to eat on St. Armands Circle is Surf Shack Coastal Kitchen. Whether you are strolling the shops or heading back from the beach, pop into Surf Shack and you will instantly feel like you are on vacation. It has a huge menu to choose from with all of the tropical treats that you would hope for, as well as some intriguing and innovative combinations.
There is an instant vibe the moment you enter. The entrance is garage‐style and left wide open all day so that you are able to soak up the natural sunlight and the vibrant street scene. Equipped with local brews on tap and funky Reggae music pumping through the speakers, Surf Shack is the perfect place to grab a post-beach drink and a meal.
My pick for a quick bite would be a couple of the Famous $4 Gourmet Tacos paired with the Tangerine Wheat Ale. If you’re done strolling for the day, then be sure to take your time and enjoy the atmosphere while snacking on the house-made guacamole before ordering any of the fresh local fish platters.
After you’ve filled up on the delicious dishes, be sure to take the short hike up the stairs to the super sexy Terrace. With a retractable roof, top notch people-watching and nightly entertainment at the piano bar, it is the perfect spot for a nightcap with family or friends.
There’s a lot to see and eat on St. Armands, but with the mix of a casual atmosphere and refined flavors, Surf Shack should not be missed!
