Savor Sarasota – Sample Amazing Restaurants Here on the Suncoast

Here on the Suncoast, we are known for amazing beaches, great live events, and world-class dining from casual to finer fare. If you have a craving for Italian, steaks, great drinks, or maybe it’s amazing seafood your tastebuds are wanting, we have some amazing news. Savor Sarasota starts tomorrow, June 1, 2021, and runs for two weeks.

What is Savor Sarasota?

Not a long-time resident of the Suncoast and thus never heard of Savor Sarasota before? Well, you have been missing out, as this foodie’s favorite event is in its sixteen seasons here in our community. This is your chance to taste a great cross-section of food from many of the best restaurants right here in Sarasota. Check out the amazing list of restaurants participating in this savory event this year at the website.

The best news of all is the cost of this amazing event is well within everyone’s reach. A set pricing structure of $16 for lunch or $32 for dinner is in place for this event. This cost includes multi-course pre-determined meals prepared by some of the best chefs from multiple culinary backgrounds. Pair these meals with a wonderful drink, amazing sunsets, and you have the making for a truly wonderful weekend, date night, or outing with friends and family. After a tough pandemic year, this is a welcome return to a staple here on the Suncoast. This event is also an amazing way to introduce new patrons to the area restaurants. We should mention, though those still not wishing to go out to lunch or dinner, Savor Sarasota will offer all options in carry-out for the 2021 event.

Get in on the Excitement

Visit Sarasota is making things a bit more exciting this year. Helping to share the amazing talents of the Suncoast chefs with an even bigger audience, Visit Sarasota is offering a cool opportunity to earn a $50 restaurant gift card. Simply post a picture of one of the participating restaurants, menu, or a dish during the two weeks of the event with the hashtag #SavorSarasota. Of course, be sure to tag Visit Sarasota County @visitsarasotacounty in the post. It’s that easy, and several random winners will be selected to receive the $50 gift card.

Last year was tough on restaurants as the pandemic shut them out of their passion for cooking. Patrons quarantined at home and not able to visit their favorite eateries. Many restaurants above the challenges of finding new ways to deliver their goods via delivery, curbside, hands-free options, and more. As the pandemic reopened, they faced smaller customer bases, huge staffing issues, and vendor supply issues as the world reopened. Through it all, they are persevering and trying to get back to what they do best. They bring some of the best foods to those here on the Suncoast every day to enjoy. This is your opportunity to check out some restaurants that maybe you haven’t had a chance to previously. Additionally, you help support an industry that needs a boost.
