Mattison’s Forty-One in Sarasota Hosting Special Wine Dinner

| Sande Caplin |

We all love farm to fork products and look for places that serve them, support the farms that supply them and shop where they are available. Not only is it healthier for us but it also helps the small family farms that provide them.

We also want to know where our food is coming from and that the animals are treated humanely and without antibiotics or hormones. Did you know that less than 3% of the farm products we consume are produced by small family farms? We need to up the game.

One way you can help is by attending the 3rd Annual Niman Ranch Next Generation Scholarship Wine Dinner at Mattison’s Forty-One on August 28th. Proceeds from the dinner, and the Go Fund Me that has been created, go to help small family farms become and remain sustainable for future generations. Chris Benziger will be there to showcase the portfolio of biodynamic wines from the Benziger Family Winery and Chef Paul Mattison has created an outstanding 6-course menu, featuring Niman Ranch products perfectly paired with the wines.
