Celebrate National Cheeseburger Day at Mattison’s

National Cheeseburger Day, September 18th, is recognized as the day to toast America’s Favorite Sandwich. The annual celebration has been taking place every year since the 1920s.

Mattison’s chefs put their own creative twist on the traditional combination of meat, cheese, and garnishes with unique combinations, sauces, and bread.

National Cheeseburger Day Features

Mattison’s City Grille in Downtown Sarasota will feature a Mediterranean Beyond Burger. This burger features spiced BEYOND meat, fire-roasted bell peppers, sweet tomato jam, goat cheese, parmesan, aged balsamic reduction, and mixed greens on a toasted Brioche bun. Meatless burgers have come a long way in taste. This burger is perfect for vegetarians as well as meat-eaters who want a different and delicious option.

Mattison’s Riverwalk Grille in Downtown Bradenton will be serving a stacked burger made with Great Range Bison stuffed with smoked Gouda cheese, topped with batter-fried onions, house-made pickles, and a bourbon glaze made with Paul Mattison’s Knob Creek Rye Whiskey, all served on a fresh-baked pretzel bun.

Both Mattison’s restaurants will have their special burgers available for the entire week from September 18 till September 25. After all, doesn’t America’s favorite sandwich deserve more than just one day?
