Blue, Pink, Lime, or Pineapple…Which is Your Favorite Tequila?
If you are in the mood for a great drink and Mexican food to cap off a workday or to ease into your weekend, head for your nearest Blue, Pink, Pineapple or Lime Tequila Mexican Restaurants Grill and Cantina, and let the fun begin. The quad Tequila foundation is quenching thirsts and filling taco quotas for those who enjoy authentic Mexican food and good margs. Mind you, they do serve other drinks, but I just can never order anything other than the 2nd largest plain margarita on the rocks. Their largest margarita comes in what they term their “fishbowl” so I would definitely have to imbibe on that in my living room, or call an Uber, for everyone’s safety.
Which color Tequila do you prefer? Because of the location, I most often enjoy Pink Tequila. It is situated on the corner of Price and Toledo Blade so it’s easy in and out whether traveling in town or heading onto the interstate. I’ve always enjoyed the intricate details of the décor from the many tiled areas which, of course, highlight the color pink but also bring in lots of oranges and blues strewn not only in the tiles but the seating, flooring, and walls. Ambiance is everything, especially when the food and drinks are also good, it is the icing on the cake.
I have found the service at both Blue Tequila Blue Tequila | Mexican Restaurantand Pink Tequila Pink Tequila | Mexican Restaurant to be efficient and friendly. I have not visited Lime Tequila Mexican Restaurant | Lime Tequila or Pineapple Tequila Pineapple Tequila | Mexican Restaurant but I’m sure it will end up on the roster at some point. I like that there is always someone at the hostess station waiting to greet you and show the way to a table. The wait staff are also knowledgeable about the menus and quick to bring foods, which are the main attraction.
What is good at Tequilas? We have sampled quite a few of their menu items and of course find the chips and salsa they immediately bring to you upon being seated to be really good. Follow-ups to that usually include a Nachos appetizer. Whether it be beef or chicken or Nachos Supreme, they are fresh and delicious. One of my favorite salads on their menu, and one that has been copied at home many times is the Grilled Chicken or Steak Salad. It just happens to have all of my favorite veggies and proteins in one bowl. The other favorite we get often as takeout is their fresh Chicken Soup. It is a great, homemade version of a traditional chicken noodle soup except it has rice and Pico de Gallo in it with Mexican spices to make it their own. It is a simple soup I love to eat when I’m not feeling well because it reminds me of my mom’s soup. The Tequila Fajitas are excellent, and their Ribeye and Shrimp is always ordered by someone in our party. And working our way through a platter of crisp beef tacos while enjoying a drink was the original reason for visiting Pink Tequila a few years back and is a staple that keeps us returning. Can one ever have too many tacos?
Andddd the drinks! As stated, I can only attest to the greatness of their traditional margaritas after many, many, many taste tests. I’m not a mixed drink connoisseur by any means so I’m not sure if they are using bottom or top shelf tequila (likely somewhere in the middle) but I like the taste and especially appreciate their margaritas are not syrupy sweet. I guess I could also attest to their crisp, cold Coronas, I’ve had a few of those there too.
We have had gatherings at Pink Tequila and Blue Tequila and find it to be a fun place that is accommodating to different diets and welcoming of families too. I’ve appreciated having a restaurant nearby that feels a little special for birthdays and such but also doesn’t break the bank. The “Tequilas” have enhanced North Port’s restaurant offerings and Venice and Port Charlotte too. The only thing better would be if more restaurants offering authentic Mexican cuisine opened up shop here. For now, we can only dream of more tacos.
