Attention All Foodies! A Taste Of Sarasota Returns

| Sande Caplin |

It’s a foodies’ frenzy on Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m. at White Buffalo Saloon in Sarasota. For a mere $8, attendees will be tasting16 local restaurants’ fare and shopping in between at more than 24 exhibitors’ booths.

A Taste of Sarasota Fall Fling is certain to please any pallet, serving up Grandma’s Italian recipes. Sweet barbeque. Homemade mozzarella cheese. Gourmet hot dogs. Marinated chicken. Handmade parmesan pasta…and more.

“A majority of the restaurants are new to this fall’s show,” said Vivian Kehrer of Sarasota Sally. Chefs, owners, and staff will even be on board to speak to everyone, which makes for a delightful opportunity to discover what these restaurants are all about.

Being produced by Powell Promotions and Sarasota Sally, A Taste of Sarasota has been around for more than two decades. Featuring it indoors to avoid inclement weather is one of many improvements over the years. More than 800 attendees showed up to last year’s fall show Vivian said, and she expects it to grow.

“We’ve taken over the entire White Buffalo – dance floor and all,” Vivian said. “We had a Spring Taste and some of the restaurants had such great results they’re joining our fall event.”
