Swordfish Grill & Tiki In Cortez, FL To Host ‘Giving Back’ Event
Tickets are now on sale for one of the biggest charity events of the year, “Giving Back.” Held annually, every September, the event is always a sell-out! The event takes place on Thursday, 9/12/2019 starting at 6pm.
This year, the benefactor for the event is “Healthy Teens Coalition of Manatee County, Inc.” Their goal is empowering teens for success through education, providing teens with the tools they need to make healthy decisions. They have school based programming, providing Manatee County school districts with curriculum to prevent teen pregnancy for both girls and boys. And, according to their website,
The Healthy Teens Coalition (HTC) of Manatee County is dedicated to reducing behaviors by providing Manatee County youth with the knowledge and skills to make informed choices about their physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being.
It is comprised of a grassroots group of over 180 individuals representing more than 60 non profit social service agencies, community based health providers, the Manatee County School District, Manatee County Government, and faith-based entities.
The HTC engages young people, parents, community leaders, and policymakers. The Coalition aims to ensure that Manatee County’s youth have access to the tools, education, and information that will equip them to make healthy, informed decisions, leading to a positive future
The event is presented by the Swordfish Grill and Tiki, The Sarasota Post and Sande Caplin and Associates. We are excited to announce that Visit A Paradise Realty, for the 3rd year in a row, is the music sponsor for the event. This year’s music includes Savannah Brady (solo violinist), Tanya Sings featuring Tanya Mccormic and T.C. and the Troublemakers featuring Tim Chandler.
Tickets can be purchased at the Swordfish Grill, 4628 119th St. W. Cortez, FL. Questions? Call 941 798-2035
