SunCoast Blood Bank Hosting Regional Conference
Florida Association of Blood Banks to Meet in Sarasota
Sarasota, FL – SunCoast Blood Bank (SCBB) is privileged to serve as the host of the 68th Annual Florida Association of Blood Banks (FABB) Conference. The conference will be held at the Sarasota Hyatt, June 4-6, 2014 and will bring together experts in the field of transfusion medicine to deliberate expanding and supporting blood bank education, donor recruitment, transfusion medicine, and administrative services through member collaboration. “The theme, ‘Working Together to Save Lives,’ signifies that when we collaborate as a team, we can accomplish more for the good of the patients and hospitals we serve,” said Scott Bush, CEO of SCBB and current president of FABB.
The landscape of blood banking continues to shift and change, almost daily. It not only endeavors to keep up with technology, it must also stay abreast of the ever-evolving healthcare industry, emerging regulatory changes, and demands for greater efficiency. It must also serve as the voice of its donors and recipients by communicating the vital nature of what they do.
