Spreading Kindness: One ARK Foundation’s 2nd Annual Kindness Matters Fundraiser

One ARK Foundation, Inc., known as One Act of Random Kindness, hosted its 2nd Annual Kindness Matters Fundraiser on March 21, 2024, at the Cheesecake Cutie & Café in Holmes Beach. While the turnout was slightly lower than the previous year, attendees radiated compassion, love, and unwavering support for both the cause and its founders, Jennifer & Kane.

The event surpassed last year’s fundraising achievements, raising over $17,000. One of the significant outcomes was the acquisition of a professional saxophone for a 14-year-old girl from one of the five families supported by the foundation. The instrument was presented to her on March 29th at Slicker’s Eatery by Billy Rice and Smokey Santillo, with dinner generously provided by Bob Slicker.

One ARK Foundation, Inc., extends heartfelt gratitude to Solid Rock Construction for their role as the evening’s Presenting Partner. Their collaboration and backing are invaluable, and the foundation eagerly anticipates collective growth in aiding Foster, Adoptive, and Single Parent Families.

Appreciation also goes to MT Constructors & Diamond Turf for their support as Silver Sponsors, Freckled Fin & AMI General Store for their Table Sponsorship, Ette Hotel & Captain Pete’s Charters for contributions to the Live Auction, and all businesses that generously provided gifts for the raffles. Special thanks to Kiwi Style Fish & Chips, Slicker’s Eatery, and Cheesecake Cutie & Cafe.

The One ARK Foundation’s objective is to support five families in the upcoming year, with ongoing assistance provided to two families currently. The foundation has been instrumental in providing groceries for local foster families, facilitated by Cheesecake Cutie & Cafe serving as a drop-off location for surplus food from visitors.
